Twice, Mackenzie Belcastro has approached me to write about writing for the blog, Soyouwanttowrite.org. The first time, I wrote about the benefits of writing together—in community or with a writing partner. Because I know about that. Intimately and successfully.
This time, I thought I’d write about voice—how the various methods from which I’ve learned offer ways to bypass ideas about how one thinks they should write in order to drop down into their own true voice.
