Gosh, this was really helpful Deepam. I’m still waiting for dialogue from a difficult character. It holds me back from finishing a piece. Maybe I’ll try a labyrinth. Or maybe there are no words. Or maybe I’m afraid of what he might say!
Several of Cormack McCarthy’s books are difficult reads for one reason or another. But, how gloriously he conducted the (labyrinthine) orchestra of character development! I would have loved to ask him so many questions!
Wow. Isn’t writing a form of insanity. We explore things that unhinge us from contemporary living. Now, we are dangerous.
